Roswell, New Mexico is heading back to high school!
In Tuesday’s episode of the CW drama, the clocks get turned back 10 years to find out what really went down the night Rosa (Amber Midthunder) died, and we get a look at a much more lighthearted Max Evans (Nathan Parsons) and Liz Ortecho (Jeanine Mason), before secrets and loss ate away at them — there’s also some stellar early-2000’s style to feel nostalgic over.
In an exclusive clip from “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” high school seniors Max, Michael (Michael Vlamis), and Isobel (Lily Cowles) joke around about their superpowers, and chat about graduating and what’s next for them. From the sound of things, both Max and Micheal had pretty impressive futures planned until things took a horrible turn on the night of Rosa’s death.
“It becomes almost two different series,” Parsons tells EW of the turning point in tonight’s episode. “It builds and builds to a certain moment and then everything starts spiraling out of control. We start to figure out what really happened to Rosa and who’s really responsible for it, and we start to get into the history of where we come from. All of this information is just pouring out that’s all earth-shattering. It’s really exciting.”
Watch the exclusive clip above and tune in to Roswell, New Mexico Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
