Oscar De La Hoya‘s Golden Boy Promotions has filed a cease-and-desist letter against Floyd Mayweather, accusing him of tampering with Ryan Garcia.

Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reported Garcia’s desire to fight Mayweather-promoted fighter Gervonta “Tank” Davis has created an issue between the two camps.

Garcia skipped out on a Golden Boy card in order to attend Davis’ first-round TKO of Hugo Ruiz on Feb. 9. The two venues were within two and a half hours of one another.

Mayweather has thus far refused to set up a Garcia-Davis fight. He instead offered Garcia $200,000 if he were able to defeat Rolando Romero, Davis’ sparring partner.

Mayweather has said Garcia would “get f–ked up” in a bout with Davis. Garcia has demanded a $1 million prize if he’s able to knock out Romero.

“On the Floyd situation, you have always been the biggest mouth in the room,” Garcia said, per TMZ Sports. “…talk is real, real cheap!!!!

“No more talk… actions speak louder than words I will fight your fighter but I’m going to need 1m if I knock him out and I’ll take that 200k to beat him.”

Garcia, 20, has won all 17 of his professional bouts, 14 coming by knockout. De La Hoya tweeted any fight between Romero and Garcia would be unfair.

“Ryan Garcia is a 15x national champion fighter,” De La Hoya tweeted. “To put him in the ring against a six-rounder like Rolly would be like putting a MLB pitcher up against a high schooler. Not fair. If Floyd wants to make a fight happen, all he has to do is call me and we’ll put together a fair fight.”
